Wuthering Heights

After talking about the byronic hero stories, it is clear that we found Heathclif perfect for the definition. He is a very rebellious character and does not seem to have any close connections with his family. I find it interesting that Catherine is very interested in a relationship with him, but ends up marrying Edgar, because Heathclif is so degraded. I guess thats what makes Heathclif the byronic character of the story, and the revenge he seems to plan to get back at Catherine by seeing Isabella.

Also I find this book very difficult to understand by the doubling of the characters, and what each of them represent. Hopefully after reading the book we will be able to pick out with Catherine represents the nature, terror, and beauty of the story.
