Love comes to those who believe it..

As I finished up reading Wuthering Heights I came to the realization that with all the quarrels and confusion with love, it still manages to make its way into every ones life. The love shown doesn't necessarily have to be that of a marriage, it could be the way a daughter loves her father and takes care of him as Cathy does in the novel when her father Edgar becomes ill.
Even though love is definitely in the novel, it might not be as apparent in some cases with all the absurd and sometimes horrific things occurring. And the fact that people restrict their love for one another because of the different statuses upheld is simply ridiculous. In Catherine's case she is choosing to be with Edgar when her heart truly resides with Heathcliff. This would personally drive me up the wall, loving someone from a distance.. yuck. Yet on the other hand Cathy and Hareton become happily engaged.
I think that Heathcliff never really stopped loving Catherine. It shows when he wanted to be buried next to her taking a piece of her coffin and his out so they can lay eternally together. In a way I think that's kind of cute. He truly believes they will be together forever even after all that has happened. I guess Celine Dion was right, love comes to those who believe it.
